Build It Your Way

Wild West prides itself on the ability to “custom build” projects for our customers. We have 2 shops on the same site as our retail showroom, one we where we mainly build the log beds, swings and some other log pieces. The other shop is where we build most of the dressers, hutches, panel style beds etc. Because we have the 2 shops and a fantastic, talented group of craftsmen, we are able to offer custom built furniture.

We take customers designs, review them for accuracy, make any changes neccessary, do a final review with customers for their ok, and the order goes up on our “To be built” board. Custom orders are a 4-6 week build time.

Some customers know what they want but are not able to visualize it, that’s where we can help. We have built so many pieces in the shops that we are very knowledgeable in how pieces can be built to function the way a customer needs. We can draw pieces up for customers to review and approve or make changes. We work very closely with the customer to ensure the furniture is exactly what they are expecting. We have even had customers bring us a picture from a magazine or a picture of a friends piece of furniture and tell us “this is exactly what we want”, no problem!!

We can build just about anything and the builders really enjoy the creative aspect of a custom built piece. We all love hearing a customers excitement when they see the piece done.

The species of wood that we usually build with is Reclaimed Barnwood, other types of Reclaimed wood, Red Fir, Knotty Alder, Blue Pine, Rustic and Clean Peel logs, Juniper, Burl wood, Knotty Hickory and Reclaimed Redwood. We have found a supplier who reclaims the old redwood stumps that have been left in the forest from the logging that was done years ago. NO redwood tree is ever cut down for any of the redwood we use.

Bring us your drawing or just bring us your idea. We will figure it out together and create a beautiful piece of furniture that will last a lifetime.
